How long are the lessons?
Each lesson lasts 55 minutes. This length allows students to maximize their learning experience. If you want to take longer lessons, you can book two lessons in a row with a five minute break in the middle.
How long is the trial session?
The trial session lasts 30 minutes. It’s a great way to get a feel for what it would be like to learn one-one-one with the teacher of your choice so you can find the teacher that’s the right fit for you.

Can I take two free trial sessions?
Our policy is one trial session per student. However, if you feel that your tutor isn’t a good fit for you, please email info@heyyoulanguages.com to explain why. If there is another tutor who could better meet your needs, we’ll allow you to book a session with them.
Will I need to buy any materials?
No, you won’t need to buy anything. Our tutors provide all learning materials to their students for free.
What do I need to take lessons?
You only need these three simple things:
1) A good internet connection.
2) A Skype account. (If you don’t have one, it’s free to create one at Skype.com.)
3) A laptop, tablet or smartphone. (We recommend using headphones with a microphone for a better experience.)
When can I cancel my lessons?
You can reschedule or cancel a lesson up to 24 hours before the lesson is scheduled to begin. This policy is designed to provide maximum flexiblity to students while also ensuring fairness to our teachers.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
If you book a lesson but don’t show up, you will still be charged for the lesson since your teacher has already reserved that time. If you think you may not be able to attend a lesson, you can reschedule or cancel it up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
How long do I have to spend the lesson credits I've purchased?
You have 1 year (365 days) from the day you bought the lesson credits.
How do I know how many credits I have left?
You can see this here. Once you enter your code or your email address in the “redeem package” field, you can see how many lessons you have remaining on your code.
What is your refund policy?
You can get a refund for the value of your remaining lessons if you contact us within 28 days of your initial purchase.
